Brief & Background
Morphun construction blocks from use a patented side-joining design for even more possibilities when building. Their growing educational range includes sets to encourage Maths, Literacy and Science skills and are accompanied by lots of teacher resources to help children learn through play.
How we helped
To help teachers get the most benefit from Morphun, we produced teacher resources to accompany the product ranges in line with the National Curriculum aims for the Early Years and Key Stages. These included key objectives and curriculum guidance and used a first/next/then approach so that the activities could be simplified or extended to suit children of different abilities.
Following this, our client also had the opportunity to gain additional exposure at Bett Asia’s Great British Classroom event, in which a British classroom was recreated on the exhibition floor and attended by local schoolchildren. They approached us again to provide action plans that would introduce children to using Morphun blocks and also demonstrate the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) value of the sets, within a short 30-minute class.
In addition to classroom-facing resources, we were asked to create evidence-based content for a catalogue advertising the value of Morphun for STEM education, which can be viewed here.
“We have worked with Amanda and her team at Fundamentally Children on a range of development and teacher work card projects for construction sets, and they have been consummately professional and very helpful.”
